I’m Marc, a woodland photographer based in Cheshire. I first discovered photography in around 2012 when my first son was born, learning the basics along the way of taking family snaps and baby portraits. It wasn’t until 2018 and the arrival of my Labrador Ella that my attention turned to the landscape. I would often notice beautiful things whilst out walking and although I struggled at first to portray their beauty into a photograph I quickly discovered a love for woodland, there was something about the chaos that calmed my mind. I’ve received some wonderful feedback on my images from photographers whom I admire greatly and I was awarded a commended at the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2021 for my image ‘The Last to Fall’. I received a highly commended in the Woodland category in Nigel Danson’s World Landscape Photographer in 2022 for my image ‘Down Stream’, I was also selected in the top 25 Landscape Photographers in the World in 2021 by Capture Landscapes, links to those can be found below.
